A few months back when my cat passed away I got a new kitty. He's a Manx that is only a few months old,so I didn't want to spend money on things like collars or harnesses when he will just out grow them in a week or two.Plus I have lots of extra fabric scraps laying around so I figured I'd just make the little fart one.
I'll attach a scan of a rough draft of a pattern I used for Mr Manxy's harness.
All you have to do is sew where the stitch marks are and make sure you LEAVE a OPENING to TURN IT RIGHT SIDE OUT.
Then hand stitch the hole closed and attach a D ring with a extra scrap of fabric to attach the leash to.
I just added snaps to Manxy's since he's not bad for trying to dart away. But if you are making one for a grown cat or your doggy make sure to use really sturdy hook and eyes or something of that nature so your pet can't break out of it.

Proud new owner of a Baby Lock 400!  Any advice for the newbie? PM
