How did you hide the stitches on the back?

First of all I didn't carry my colours for more than 3 stitches so I didn't get those loops.
Then I really took my time weaving in the ends into the same colour areas. If you are careful they can
look quite neat. I'd take a picture of the back but my son has it at university.
I've also heard some people line their ghans (maybe some fleece?)
