Crafty Santa gave me a $50 gift certificate to a very popular LYS in my area.  I haven't been there yet, but I plan on getting a yarn swift.  Also my gift to myself this year were the harmony interchangeable needles.

that's funny!  my mil gave me the halcyon catalog for the second year in a row, but no gift certificate or money to go towards yarn!  why does she torture me like this?!?!

It's yarn porn? Wink  Maybe you should ask, "Is this a promise to let me pick out some yarn & you'll pay for it?"

My b/f got me the Harmony needle set!!!!  *happy dance* and my g/f got me a hand made needle holder. I guess she didn't know that my b/f was getting me the needle set so I"m going to gift it back to her when I give her most of my old needles to her  Cheesy She and her oldest daughter are just starting to knit so they're going to need lots of needles in all sizes. I just want to spare her the pain of having to buy all those needles like I did whenever I needed to make something new.

yeaaah, i don't think that's the best idea...  she gave me other stuff too, and i think it would hurt her feelings if i asked if she intended to give me yarn.  she also gave me a little calendar that you get for free from halmark!  i think she just runs around the house, throwing in things she finds (like the halloween stickers she threw in as well!).  she's just bizarre...

crafty santa hit my house this year!!

i got the son of stitch n' bitch book and a the pattern a day calendar.....

my aunt embroidered some bath towels with my initials on it....and gave me 4 skeins of this beautiful blueish/purplish variagated yarn (forgot the brand) but its lovely...

and my other aunt, who ALWAYS misses the mark on what to get me (well, last year she started to get it by getting me a michael's gift card) got me a yarn ball winder and a swift! i can't wait to go to my lys and buy some real yarn.....otherwise, i suppose i can just re-ball all the yarn that's already nice in a ball that i got at my lastest michael's/ac more spree.....i'm reallllly excited about this!! i also need a nice place to set it up...hmmm....

and then...my sister made me this! (i apologize for the blurryness of it....i dropped my phone last week and the lens on the camera part shattered.....)

i believe she used a styrofoam ball and skewers....the yarn i believe is sugar 'n cream....she had it lying around the house for something.....i love it!! ever since she's had kids she's been so crafty.....i have it hanging up at work....in front of the xmas card featuring my neice and nephew and the other card has my other "nephew"....

oh..also forgot, my boss lady crocheted me a scarf (as well as for other people here at work...) great minds think a like...i had knitted her a scarf!

i love christmas....

Nothing! :-(  I'm not sure if my family doesn't really believe that it's a good hobby or what, but every year I ask for a gift certificate to Webs and every year no luck. Sadness.

I got Knitting with Balls, and Last Minute Knitted Gifts.  I already have Last Minute Knitted Gifts, but one of my knitting girls said she might be interested in buying it.  I also got a subscription to Martha Stewart Every Day Food, which one of my nieces loves.

crafty santa loves me!  I got a USM knitting machine (I know it's at the bottom of the knitting machine tottem pole, but I like it!), and I'm already almost done with my first sweater on it (just the sleeves left to do). I also got 2 skeins of simply soft yarn (too bad the sweater needed 3 lol, so I bought one more yesterday). and some pretty ribbons, and an alphabet for my die cutting machine.

oh! and pearl earings, and the matching necklace!  I've always wanted a pearl necklace! it'll be so pretty w/ my new sweater I'm almost done with.

oh yeah and a dumb kitchen gadget from the inlaws.  oh well it'll be good for cutting fries.

I got spoiled.   Grin
