This has got to be one of the niftiest bags I've seen in a while. The pattern and the BATS and everything just fit together so perfectly - I love the idea.

I love this bag!  What a perfect background fabric; it looks fabulous.  This coming from one who hates BATS!!  I once had one tangle in my hair-it was a horrible experience.
I'm sure your MIL loved it.  Homemade gifts are the very best.

Oh maaan that sounds quite horrific, I'm not surprised you don't like bats now :S  They're so cute from a distance but up close with those lil fangs and big rubbery looking wings no doubt quite scary!

I have to admit that the hanging bats was my blokeys idea, think they totally made it though   Tempted to make a bag like it for myself as well but don't think MiL would be v happy then, lol!!

I have since made another bat bag in tote bag style (waiting in a cupboard for me to finally get round to doing a bag[-selling] party), and another tote bag one but with cats (a black and a brown one) on.  I personally hate cats but it was for a swap and my partner loved cats

Ooh and yes SUBMITEVERYTHOUGHT she did totally love it, I just need to find something to top it to give her this xmas now!!  I can't say too much as she sometimes comes on Craftster, but I'm thinking bat plushie this year.
