Well right now It isn't going too great. The other half of the baby makin' party is in Iraq.... ho-hummm. Alas I have a fallback idea!! I will turn our PLAYROOM into something Miyazaki'ish! It doesn't have a theme.... It is the perfect candidate for a makeover! *squee!

Ooo! I like that idea!
Be sure to post pic's if you get it done! Grin

I loved Grave of Fireflies, too, but I cried like a baby the first time I watched it.

Grave of fireflies was just too sad! I was reading all of this chatter to my sis and she said a Totoro chair with a lamp shaped like an umbrella! Oh, too cool!

If your stomach feels weak then, my work here is done

I have NOT seen Totoro yet, I ordered it from EvilBay and I am awaiting its arrival!!! But, that does sound like a fantabulous idea!! The Grave of the Fireflies movie I have is only english subtitles. Which is okay, I don't mind reading. Setsuko has a cute little voice.

I started this before I found this thread but thought it would be good to post here.  I crocheted this using Heavens-Hellcat's pattern.  I've already had a couple of friends beg me for one.

I got some Miyazaki stuff finished lately that I thought would be fun to share. And I've got several more things in the works. Some stuff for an off-craftster studio ghibli swap that's still a secret right now. And then a Noh Face and the Radish Spirit both in the beginning stages. Here's some of the finished stuff.

And one of the Radish Spirit because I really like him even though he is not done yet.

You have actually done every character that my teenager keeps begging me to do. Just by the time I am done studying from school...I am beat...not to mention handle teens and one tween:P

Great job they rock!

I forgot to come back and post the miyazaki swap stuff when I finally finished it. I'm pretty proud of this one, but he was a huge pain in the butt to make. Howl was very vain and pushy and it took a lot of work to get everything up to his standards. He actually demanded to be made over again when I was halfway done with his body the first time because he didn't like his shoes and said "his hips were too narrow". He was right about the hips but the shoes were perfectly fine. Vain!

Here is the rest of the swap stuff photos. There was a painted totoro box and a little white totoro and some other bits and bobs.
