What have people get as a count for each side on outside round 1? Is it 16 sc per side, with the 2 ch-sp in the corner? Im just getting a little confused. Smiley

I found it confusing as well.  I had 16 on two sides and 17 on the other two.  I compensated by ignoring the exact letter of the pattern.  When I came to round 2, I just made sure that I had the same number of shells and dc on each side, even if it meant only skipping 1dc instead of the recommended 2.

I hope this didn't confuse you more!   Shocked

See, this is why I'm really behind! I need to wait for other folks to figure out and solve all of the pattern glitches Wink

And you'll probably get caught up before me. Wink Can't wait to see your squares- if they are as lovely as last year's set, I will be jealous!

I was going to ask about a stitch count on the sides as well...it really stumped me.  I have the pattern done to that point, then Tongue

Well I could not figure it out, so I charted it:

At least according to my chart, it's 17 sc per side.  I have the last side (the top of the square) give me the most problems finding a place for number 17, but I was able to do it.

If anyone find anything wrong with it, let me know.

Btw, someone on ravelry found one other correction:

In outside round 4:

instead of:

"hdc in ea of next 3 dc,"

she thought it should be:
"hdc in next dc, ch 1, skip next dc, hdc in ea of next 3 dc,"

Thanks. This year too I have natural dyed yarns, but I have been trying to choose less bright colours so the finished afghan would look different from last year's.

Yesterday I watched couple of episodes of Twin Peaks and crocheted. Result: May square and one filler.

After much confusion, here is the September square I did.  I more or less used the picture to see what the pattern should look like rather than strictly following the pattern itself.

Best of luck to those of you still trying to figure it out! Undecided
