Wow! That looks so neat with the brown variegated in there! I really like the look of this square. I think I'll be able to start it next week.

yelley: a bowl? Oh no, that means mine is just going to curl up like stockinette.  Sad I'll give it a go, though, definitely, block the hell out of it and stick it in the middle of the afghan. All better.  Tongue

I'm not happy with this one, mostly because I messed up a couple times.  But...I'm NOT going to tear it apart:)

You guys make me scared to try it!

Don't be scared.  It isn't that difficult.  A little annoying with all the changes.  Smiley

Oh and the way the pattern seemed to make the square pull down the middle of each side.   There weren't any stitches to even out the sides.

I did a little change on the pattern.   On Round 8, I do:

Join CB to any 2nd sc of the corner, (ch3, dc, ch3, 2dc) [*7dc, 8tr, 7dc, * (ch3, dc, ch3, 2dc) in corner sc] 3 ties and * to * once more, join to 3rd ch of beg c3.

Then on Round 9, I did the original round 8 as written.

It seemed to even things out better.
