They are a bit addictive. lol

Where did you find the last block pattern, the Celtic knot I think you called and would you share the link? I know what Mike is going to say. He'll call it a toe catcher, but dang I love that one.  All of your blocks are beautiful, you did a great job.

seconded... i would love a pattern for that celtic knot block too, please!

Because it's so close to the color of January's birthstone, I'm thinking of just following the theme and doing a birthstone lap-ghan.

Oooh thats a good idea! My daughter would really like that. Grin

This is just a thought, but as we're only 32 days into this year and this thread is already 51 pages long...
Should we have a new thread for every month?  Especially if people are going to be posting pictures of each month's square, it will be hard to sift through hundreds of pages of pictures.
Any thoughts?

I love craftster but I wish wish wish wish they could do nested threading.

But the "images only" tab does help.

okay! starting today, i'm checking this thread every day! i've been too busy to do that, but man i still can't get over how fast this thing grows Cheesy

now that it's february, i suppose i should post my squares (took me awhile to get new batteries for my camera), so jennbrad, i'm with you! (gorgeous colour, by the way)

they're both done in bernat softee chunky. dark burgundy and something. i think i'm going to use the burgundy throughout, and other colours to pop. february's square looks like it'll be good for that!

i meant to preview that, and now i need to add: the colour of the first square is the same as the border on the second square, and the true colour is somewhere between the two.

also, mind the cat hair Cheesy

oh AND kathj, your squares are incredible! i love how many you've done!

Ooh, the February square looks interesting. It almost reminds me of a 4 leaf clover. And it will work great with my red/blue scheme for my mom! The birthstone color idea is really cool too. Hmm ... if I do that, that means even more squares!  Wink

craftADDchick- I saw your heart block on the 07 Cal. That  looks great! Tell me what trouble did you have with it?  I have been looking at that one, thought I would do it in Feb.  So give me a heads up on the trouble that one will give ...lol

Oh, you probably won't have any troubles, but...

I had some trouble in round 8 figuring out where to do the split fptr, and what it meant to work behind the fptr and crochet into the 2nd skipped chain. Homerof2 and heini cleared things up for me, and with their info, I realized I had skipped over a line in the pattern of round 7 and had too many fptr in the round. So, it totally screwed me up when I was doing round 8! As long as your round 7 is right, round 8 should be a piece of cake (which it was after I got it all sorted out Wink )!

Thank you craftADDchick for the heads up.  I have read over the pattern, not sure I understand the split fptr. But we will see when I get to it.  I may call on you if I have a moment with it.

It's not too hard once you do it...as long as you don't have extra fptr in the row before Wink

But, since I got help on mine, I'd be pleased as punch to pay it forward! Let me know if you get stuck Wink
