yellowduckie, I am still learning a lot of this kind of stuff, but how do you do the mocking up on photoshop. Thanks for your help.
It's easy.
You need to things. Photoshop (or something like it) and a camera (or something like it).
There are a couple of different ways to mock up things.
One has to do when making a pattern you will add fabrics or colors too. I'm not writing about that.
This one is about adding pics of these crochets squares to a layout of a mock up of the blanket.
Take pics of what you are working up.
Transfer the pic (jpg usually) to computer.
Open in photoshop (I don't know about other programs but it's likely similiar)
In Layers, you double click the layer called "Background". PS will ask what to called it (Default is "Layer 0") click ok.
Click in the Menu: Layer > Duplicate Layer
When the dialog window appears, click Document, and select what document to copy the pic into. click ok.
If you haven't made a psd document, select "new". The psd should be big enough to handle all the pics you are going to add to it.
Save the psd so you can add other pics to it,
Depending on what you need, you may have to crop the pics.
Oh, and the original jpg. Just close it, do
not save the changes you made.
I hope this is at least a little clearer than mud.
