i come bearing squares!  haha
my april square:

i love this color combo.  i wish i'd thought of it sooner, and had more of the yarn left.  i'll probably make at least one of my fillers using these colors too.

my fillers:

thetys square

little dahlia square

spring time window square.

(i know my ends aren't weaved in...but i'm lazy!)

there's the link for it.  it's a 6" square, but i'm sure it could be made into 12" somehow.   Wink

I've been lazy this month...too much to do, too little time to do it in. Smiley.  Ok, here is my first square that I have done, no pattern, just freehanded it.  I wish I had written it down, because it didn't come out that bad.  But, here it is...

Neat squares, Puppy_girl! And, I bet if you steal a technique from an earlier square, you could make a smaller square bigger.

Sorcha, your square looks great! It looks like it will go really well with the squares we have already done. I've learned so much from crocheting each square- maybe one day I'll make one of my own, too!

that's a nice square Sorcha.  and i'm really impressed that you made it up yourself.  i've been trying to make up my own square, but so far it hasn't gone very well.   Undecided

craftADDchick, your squares look so nice together. Thanks for showing them.

puppygirl, I really like the dahlia square. They all are good though.

Sorcha, sometimes I like to make a square with no pattern too. You can just watch TV and let the square happen without concentrating on a pattern. Yours turned out really pretty.

Thanks guys:)  I was just happy it laid flat and turned out square, lol.  I might try another one next month.  It's a good car project for me, though next time I'm using a bigger hook, the G hook was a bit small for my tastes

I can't believe how long it's been since I've been on here to check everything out!  There's just been a little too much . . . life to deal with this month.

Everyone's squares look great!  Here is mine, along with a picture of all of my squares laid out together.  I need to get some black yarn and join the first three together in a strip soon, or December will be here and I'll still have just a pile of squares to contend with!

Hopefully by the time I post May's block, I'll also have a finished strip to show off!  Fingers crossed, anyways.
