Would there be any interest in starting a new monthly 12" square CAL? I'd be happy to start one on Jan 1 unless someone else had plans to do so. I was thinking of posting only one pattern each month, though. Then you could have the option of doing two the same per month if you had the time/inclination, or you could do one patterned and one plain to alternate, or you could stop at 12 squares and have a lapghan ready by next December.
Thoughts?

Cornbread is square, but pi is round.

Hm.  I might actually consider this, as long as none of the patterns are too horrendously difficult.  I'm relatively new at all of this, but doing this would likely make at least one gift easier next year - just depends on who it'd be for!

Grin Yay! I'm glad you're considering it!
Yes, I was thinking of selecting patterns on the easy to medium side, hopefully not so plain as to be boring to make, but not too difficult either. The one I  had in mind for January, for instance, looks fancy but I think it would be easy to do. I guess I should field test them in the prior month to see how they work up.

I watched the last CAL you organized. You picked good patterns and it was fun to see everyones squares.

I think I would have to join in this time. just thinking of it is making me excited to get started  Cheesy

The last one was organized by the lovely Homerof2!  Grin  I had so much fun with those 12" squares though I wanted to make a new blanket this year. ( I still have to post a pic of my finished afghan, it's probably my favorite FO ever)

I'm thrilled you're interested, I hope we have lots of company!

Any thoughts on whether you'd prefer only one square per month?

Oooh I think I could be tempted by one a month, and it could hopefully turn into a gift for someone next Xmas  Grin

Count me in. The previous afghan is almost finished. I have been too busy with making presents lately, so I haven't been making the afghan. Most of the squares are already joined.

This sounds like fun. I could pull off one square per month even with all the other stuff I have going on.  That would keep me motivated to get it done before the next pattern comes out.  I have lost my crafting buddy that use to do this for me so this would be good for me.

Oh yea....Homerof2 did organize the last one. Oh well.....I'd be grateful for you to organize this time around. I really liked watching that CAL.  PLEASE show us your finished afghan.

I'd be ok with either one or two squares. If more people only want one, I will probably make two of them or use your idea to make a "plain" square to mix with the monthly squares.
