these boxes were free outside of a local art store. there were a lot more but i only had so much room in my bag, so i grabbed seven of them:

they are about 3.5"x4.5"x1" and open as shown:

i got them because i figured i could do something neat with them... exactly what, i am not sure  Tongue good thing this board is here, so all you crafty people can help me brainstorm!

Travel jewerly/makeup boxes? Just cover with magazine clippings and maybe line the inside?

Bend the lid back so it stands with the inside facing out and make it into a picture frame thing?

If you give any jewerly as presents then this can be a box to put it in. You can decorate as cool as you want.

-deffinitly the perfect size to store small craft items. like safty pins, beads, lace, ribbon and so on.
-ill second the idea of the picture frame. cute idea, personalize for each picture
-make mini stationary to hide inside!  Cheesy
-make tiny gifts for people..like...
or candy and store in there.
-hehe make purse! im not sure how exactly. maybe attach ribbion on both sides so it stays closed and cover outside with fabric or collages. hehe that would be cute!!

If you got some cool scrap paper, you could make them look like neet little square hat boxes.  I saw this done with little round boxes, and they looked really cute!
