Wow, thanks for all the kind words! I'm almost done with the dragon for her boyfriend. I think we did a better job picking fabrics this time thanks to my guy, he has a knack for colors. It was fun explaining to the lady at the quilt shop that I need fabric that looks like scales... She gave me the weirdest look.

It's a challenge picking that many fabrics and keeping in mind where they'll go and what the finished dragon will look like.

I think anyone that likes to sew and loves dragons should get this pattern.  Just be patient with it Grin I'm debating making one for the "Silly Swap International" http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=216195.0

I know that look, I got the same look when I asked about fake fur that looked like Wookie fur! Smiley

Dragon number two is finished! Again they didn't want the mane, beard, etc.. so it's pretty plain. Pictures added on page 1  Grin

I like the second one too, I'd even venture to say , better than the last. If that's possible. My son and husband are looking over my shoulder and wondering if mommy is going to make this dragon. Don't hold your breath.

I absolutely love your dragons!!! How hard is the pattern to follow? (other than time consuming Wink)

The pattern isn't hard at all. Just be sure you start at the beginning, read the step, and then do it, read the next step, etc..

I made the mistake of trying to jump ahead and pre-cut a bunch of pieces before I read the directions for that section.. it really messed me up.

Patience, very basic sewing skills, and time are all you really need  Grin

The second dragon is just as amazing as the first (actually I like it better).  I think this may very well end up on my 2008 to do list.
