I am a slow knitter, but tickled pink I managed 4 calorimetry in apprx 1 week, around a fulltime and part time job!

I dragged out the work to phtograph and before I could get the lens cover off, Marx the cat was "asleep" on my work, as such he ended up modeling stuff for me Smiley

Calorimetry!

- pale blue was acrylic super soft baby yarn- caron Simply soft?
-stripey blue was patons sws in the blue colorway- denim? Navy?
- stripey purples and magenta's was also paton's SWS- natural plum
-mottled earth tone one was random acrylic skein that I was given as a gift (least fav to work with, it was scratchy and sweaty feeling)

the pale blue one I cast on 120 stitches,  definately too big, the other 3 are 90 stitch versions, buttons all raided from the family button hoarde.

Lattice Scarf- adventure in yarn overs... experiments leading up to lace!

Caron Bliss- "Majestic" Color
Knitted on size 13 needles, no set pattern, mainly k1, yo, k1, repeated. used 2 skeins

Chaos Scarf!

2 skeins of "angel Hair" from Joann's, seed stitched border, chaos cabled interior based on the roll of a 4 sided dice ('cause I'm a gaming geek too).  Unfortunately the thing is soo gorram fuzzy the cabling is understated. This was my introduction to cabling, and waay fun, but cables slow me down majorly.

I have another few pieces I may add to this thread when I dig one out, and finish the other tomorrow (yip yip alien should be done tomorrow and available for photographing on Xmas day).

*edited to add a better calorimetry shot and ocrrect spelling, yip yip alien to come*

I love it. I also love that cat that is modeling it.

Nice! Why do cats allways seem to want to sleep in/on handknitted things?  Cheesy I've seen a lot of craftster-pictures with cats on them.. Smiley

Everything looks great! I love the Chaos scarf! If only I'd thought of a scarf first... I have 3/4 of a Chaos sweater in a man's size still sitting on the UFO pile...

Thanks!  and yes CHaos scarf was inspired by CHaos sweater, but I was not yet ready to tackle sweater territory, and I had that yarn on hand from an impulse buy soo the whole project was an impulse and it was my first foray into cabling.

I think the scarf is the way to go. I got a little burned out on all the cables in a man-sized sweater.
