In the beginning of February I want to have a martini party with a few girls. The thing that started this off is all of the recipes floating around for infused vodkas. The only ideas I have so far are:

Starting in the middle of January- infusing about 5 different flavors of vodka
Having about 20 recipes to mix and drink throughout the night
Getting a ton of glasses from goodwill that we can decorate and use (let them take home)
Having little bottles of each flavor of infused vodka for them to take home

Any ideas on decorating, food and activities?Huh

You've probably already had the party, but this is a good idea for my FIL, he's a martini drinker.  I'm thinking trays of olives etc. on the food table and James Bond playing on the TV.  He collects martini shakers, so that would be some props we would use.  I keep thinking roaring 20's type stuff, but that would be out of the budget... unless I did seguined headbands with a feather for the girls and maybe just bow ties for the guys.  I like the idea of misc. martini glasses to take home.

Thanks for the inspiration, this is gonna be fun!

The party is actually going to be the 23rd. I love your idea of the headbands! I'm definitely doing this. The glass decorating as the only activity is kind of going to be throughout the night since we will be using them so I really wanted something else crafty and that'll be perfect. I've been going to Goodwill every weekend for a quite a few weeks and have tons of extremely cheap martini glasses.

I would keep food simple, let the drinks shine.

Maybe  a big tray of fruit with some dip or yogurt.
Same with raw veggies.
Some cheese (lol it's almost cheaper to get the store brand string cheese & cut those in smaller pieces.is that way too tacky??) & crackers.
Def some olives, what else do people put in ,martinis?  pearl onions?

Maybe you can decorate or make some coasters?  OR take a group pic. so you can make a coaster to give to every one after.

That's funny, I never even thought of coasters! That's a definite! I think I will just keep food simple. It's more about the girls getting together and trying out a bunch of new drinks and having fun so I think I'll just have a bunch of finger foods.
