I'm turning 14 in July and this year I want to have a big fun party! Last year I had a celeberity party, where everyone came dressed as a celebrity and we had a photo shoot and danced and whatnot. We also got a Slip N Slide that was like 3 of them next toeachother so we could race :] I need something funner this year. I'll be having 7 girls including myself there. Give or take one or two. Any ideas? My friends have a wide variety of likes, but they'd be up for anything, and so am I! Oh and like I said its in the middle of July so I'm hoping we can do something outside! Thanks!

well with seven girls it should be lots of fun, and the photoshoot idea is great. glad you're thinking about being outside in that summer weather. swimming maybe? pool party? [this is all quite unoriginial, sorry]
www.teenpartyideas.com   (yes, that's the URL  Smiley) has some great ideas, i suggest looking at the ones with honorable mentions and such so you don't have to filter through ones with bad grammar etc...

hope i helped a little, good luck, happy birthday  Wink

i've always wanted to have a cocktail party.  but you can do it minus the alcohol.  i don't know how good these recipies are, but there seems to be a lot of recipies online for mocktails. http://www.kflapublichealth.ca/mocktails/index.html  everyone can dress up, maybe serve horderves (i seriously looked up how to spell that)  play some jazzy lounge type music.  it would be fun to do it outside in the evening....

Haha, jhorsedouvers [i think i spelt it wrong] was one of our spelling test words in 4th grade I think!

Thanks! I love both ideas! Fine dinning outside sounds amazing. We'll have to do something with my dog though :] She'd destroy the pretty girls dresses!

I'm welcome to more ideas!!

Lets see you could have a Beach Party!
Get a big tarp with some sand and some beach towels and beach chairs and get everyone to bring their swimsuit. You could get some cheap wading pools and the slip and slide for the water. You could put everything in coolers and types of food you'd have at the beach. And use the big beach umbrellas for shade!

Or you could have a disco party
Get everyone to wear 70's outfits and dance to disco music and have fondue (both cheesy and chocolate fondue)

You could always have a luau and get everyone plastic leis and wear hula stuff

A Spa party could be fun too, make it a sleep over and have an entire night of pampering including facials, mani's, pedi's, and sugar scubs. A lot of facials, scubs, and stuff like that are extremely easy to make and they feel great! And then you could all hang out and watch movies all night! Hope some of those helped!

oh, the things that happen when you bump a thread  Wink
the ideas so far are wonderful, LOVE the mocktail party idea (plus the hors'doeuvres, haha.) i've done the whole hawaiian beach party thing, i dont think my friends will go for the 70s idea and a spa party would be good if i was planning to have only girls.

wow. i dont mean to turn this into my thread, because it isn't, but i'd love to hear more ideas too!

Wow. These are some great ideas! I was talking to a few of my friends last year, and I through a Hollywood party and everyone came dressed as a celeberity, like I was Audrey Hepburn. Is there anyother good costume party themes?

I would kinda play off the first theme. Have a super model party. You can have all the girls come dressed up. Maybe have the models bring a few different outfits or just different articles of clothes and mix and match if you are all around the same size. You can set up a runway to show off on. Even set up a video camera so you have a keepsake. Do photo shoots if you want. If you can find a store like Anna's Linens that is having a sale, buy some pillow cases and either give them out with the invites and have them transform it into something or at the party put them out with some trims and embellishments and redesign them together. If you have a lot of scrap fabric at home or know a place to get a good deal on some instead of pillowcases buy some safety pins and no actual sewing or cutting allowed you have to make a dress. All sorts of things you can do to devour the whole night.

I am a little dry on ideas right now, but have you seen this thread? It's for a sweet 16, but there's some really neat theme ideas in there! (and most of them could be turned into costume parties)!
