I have this foolhardy habit of trying new crafts out on gifts.
This was for my stepsister's baby shower.
She and the one on the way have the same monogram and middle name, Rose.
Hence the raised herringbone rosebud.
The leaves are bullion stitches, the letters stem stitches and the border is composed of crosseyed, sleep-deprived Craftster stitches. I designed the letters as I was going along.
It looks a little better from a distance, no?

Anyhow, I have gobs of floss left over and really liked cutting my teeth on this project; so I may pop back in to this board soon.
