Steampunk  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk

Isn't it just inspiring?
Participants will craft to their partner's taste, in a steampunk style.

Oooh.

I've recently gotten into steampunk. I will have to think about this.

I worry that I don't have enough metal or glass skills to pull off something cool enough.

You don't have to use metal or glass to be steampunk
Check out the suggestions I've put up - there are two knit ideas there

And you can always make stuff that looks like metal or glass

Just stalking for now Cheesy I only discovered from lurking on the discussion thread for this swap that this genre had a name! I love Victoriana and those retro-style futures, alternate universes... and airships Cheesy I'd love to craft steampunk stuff but I don't think I'm "outwardly" steampunk enough to use anything I'd get back. Guess I can volunteer if anyone ends up needing an angel (though I sincerely hope they don't!)
