I painted this toy box for my nephew for Christmas.  The illustrations are from the children's book "Where the Wild Things Are".  I'm really proud of how this turned out, so excuse the gratuitous self-promotional number of pictures. Comments are loved!

i LOVE it! you did the painting really well. are you a painter? if not, what technique did you use to get the images so true to the story book?

i just love maurice sendak in general, actually.  all his crazy crosshatching lines.  this came out real good! -pat on back-
