Cry My sewing machine died today Cry

Well temporarily! The thread got caught in the arm (that goes up and down) and wound itself round so tightly, that it is very hard to get it out Sad

Luckily my mum lent me her sewing machine, so I was able to make great start on my medium item Cheesy (Meanwhile my poor mum was roped into picking at the thread with tweezers and thread snippers!! Most of it has come out, but theres some thread still wound round!)

Question is ... how did it happen in the first place?

i had the same thing happen to a old singer from the 40's.  turned out the thread was too loose coming out of the bobbin.  i really have to get that one back from my mom.  it was my favorite.  it was forwards and backwards all with one stitch!

Sewing machines must all be in foul moods or something today because mine died as well.  But, mine is beyond repair.  Cry  Looks like I'll be sewing by hand- which adds an extra day.  Grr.

Worked on medium item last night, about 20% complete.

80% and one small to go and I'm all set! Not sure how long this medium will take though. As with all my fantastical papercraft ideas, it's taking longer than I thought, eek!  Grin

Right ho if we're going percentages I think I'm about here now:
Mediumylarge item - 10%
Smallymed item - 95%
Small item - 0%
(and possibly might nip in another small if I have the time)

Chocolate - If I get anymore I won't be able to afford to send the package!

The BF is out tonite though so hoping to finish my mediumylarge item while he's out, though I do need to pop to the gym at some point to burn off some chocolate Shocked

Maaaan I can't believe how quick some of you guys are!!!

glad i got some crafting time in today or i would feel seriously behind! in terms of progress - one very small done, one small done, one small done, one small/med done, the final medium very nearly there!  hoping to be ready to post monday, went to the shop for the chocolate today and most importantly, found the chocolate of dreams for my partner!!  hoping she loves it all....
