Ok, I needed a super fast knit for a beer drinking couple and this is what I came up with.  It's super fast, super easy and because I'm always the first receiver of my novelty knits, I know it works well.  I knit it from the top down, using the magic loop method, US size 5's and worsted weight yarn.  There's more pattern notes on my blog Smiley

I really like these, and the idea behind it... It really isn't that fun drinkin a beer during the winter outside in the snow since your fingers get cold and wet that way, and this seems like a perfect solution to that when I can't find gloves.

I have a question though (it may be silly).  It seems to me like the beer bottle would slip out of the cozy when holding it, since the bottles are glass and very smooth.  Is this something one might fear, or are the bottles pretty good about stayin' in their cozy?

Somehow, I find these cozies to be hilarious. Smiley Something about sweet, softly colored yarns around a beer bottle.... I don't know. It cracks me up!  Cheesy

I can imagine my friends using pastel colored cozies back at college. It makes me want to make them some! I'm not very good at adding on stitches, but I might have to try them for my sister too.

Thanks everyone!

Oribe, they don;t slip at all.  I think the trick is to get them tight enough, ya know, nice and cozy Wink
