Do you need to "prep" the pvc at all in order for the paint to stay? I love napkin rings and this is a great idea especially if you need a lot of them. Great job!!

No, no prep was done to any of the material prior to paint. The spray paint is just the store brand for all surfaces. I'm thinking of doing another set later on in another color.
