The pattern picture is hideous. It's mind-boggling to me that your gorgeous capelet is the same pattern. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

Darn! I was going to buy the yarn today, but the pattern said about 412 yards...I had 4 skeins in my hands but kind of choked on the price (I'm a cheap yarn kind of girl), even if it was 30% off. I might wait for a better sale, or use a few coupons to buy what I need...maybe I'll go back tomorrow if the yarn is still on sale...because I just did the math and it really isn't as bad as I thought...silly me...

awwww, that sucks Sad
I had originally bought 4 balls and just took the extra one back to Michaels yesterday...they were having some kind of sale when I bought it too. I usually get whatever el-cheapo acrylic blend is on sale, but the sws is definitely worth it I think.

Yay! I went back today and got the yarn. I did get 4 balls because I liked it and it was on sale (yes, cheapskate yesterday, spendthrift today...go figure Wink ). I bought it in the Natural Plum colorway because I plan to make it for a friend. Her favorite color is orange but, in case she doesn't like it or won't really wear it, I picked purple tones. She does like purples, too, but I also like purple so if she'd rather have something else, I can wear it! I hardly ever wear orange colors...
