Amazing indeed! It's totally adorable! At first glance it looks like the lacey front of a period costume (if that makes any sense) I love buttons so my suggestion would be the bigger (or more-er) the better.

Yes!  I totally agree with the buttons idea.  And more...hmm...I have thoughts of clusters of buttons dancing through my head now... Smiley

Thanks for the ideas and compliments!

Your scarf is so adorable.  I like the short scarflet length.  Rather than fringes, it would look good with large scallops across the bottom, porportionate to the ruffles.

Brilliant idea!  I love the idea of scallops.  We'll have to play around with that a bit Smiley

Then do you use the elastic as top thread too?

Anyway- thanks for showing us! That's a terrific scarf. I'm with the pack on this one, under $20, lots of colors and think pretty on the button. Like vintage or layered buttons.

Nope, just regular thread on the top.

My mom actually just got home from Goodwill with a bucket full of buttons...so we'll have fun looking through those to add to future scarves Smiley

Wow, that is beautiful! I think that around $15-$30 is good depending how long they take to make, and how much materials cost. Big time props for taking something you saw, and making it yourself (and you'res probably looks much better too!)

Oh my goodness I am so in love with this scarf.  You are very cool.. and your sister.. to be creative enough to do this on your own.  If I knew enough about sewing I would definetly make one for myself.. but I'm just learning!.. If you make one with the scalloped end could you please please please post a pic of it?  That sounds so cute!

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!
