I think if you're worried about sizing for bangles, you could modify the idea to fit over a cuff bracelet instead.

I just found that page too and knit up 2 bangles, one in moss stitch and one ribbed.  I love your cabled bracelet -- how did you do that?

Bustergordon, for the cable, it's 6 stitches of stockinette against a background of reverse stockinette. I did a cable cross every 8 rows (I think--I'm not sure 'cause I already mailed off the bangles since they were a gift). Unfortunately I don't like to wear bangles ... but yours would be the ones I would wear if I did!
