I need to make a card box.  ...And I have no ideas.  I envision something with batting and shiny fabric, but then it seems like there should be ribbon or embellishments or something, too, right?

I've purchased a box, it's maybe the size of the box a pair of boots would come in...  and I've searched craftster a few different ways with few results.

How do you decorate a card box?Huh

do the batting and shiny fabric thing, then with ribbon do a criss cross pattern and sew a button or something equally as cute at each intersection of ribbon. like a mini version of those message photo boards. I think that would be super cute.

it is not inertia alone that is responsible for human relationships repeating themselves, monotonous and un-renewed, it is shyness before all else.

I know you already bought a box, but thought I'd share what I think we might do. I think I saw posts on The Knot about it. You take 4 large photo frames (some brides bought them at the dollar store), and screw them together in a box shape using L-brackets to form the 4 sides. Then you use foamboard covered with batting and fabric to make the top (with a hole for the cards.) And I think just plain foamboard on the bottom and attach it to a lazy susan so it spins to display all four sides of photos. Decorate more if you want.

I wish I had a photo handy to post. They are REALLY cute. And some brides disassemble the frames afterwards to use.
