Do they have to be wafer thin? Can they be made out of something like foam core?

Do they have to be wafer thin? Can they be made out of something like foam core?

I don't know if I'd use foam core; it's so thick. I think mat board would work though. I would even hate the thought of cutting the foam core to size.

I wouldn't mind, though, if I got squares of different thicknesses. I think it would make the collection look interesting.

i think that fun foam stuff would work - it's easy to cut, and not quite as thick as foam core. i got some fun patterned stuff after halloween and i've been trying to figure out what i can use the green and black argyle for (how could i resist green and black argyle, really?)!
