Lately I've been fascinated by inchies, which are little 1" by 1" pieces of art. I made a few (posted here) and all of a sudden noticed a *need* I have to amass several more. I think 100 of them in a 12" by 12" scrapbook frame would look amazing! Anyway, if you make a large background and cut it up, like I did to start, they do go pretty quickly.

Who's interested in a fun little swap? Perhaps we could start out with everyone making 50 and sending to several different partners. Postage would be cheap, and no dcs would be required. If it catches on, we could do another round, because I really do need that 100.  Cheesy

As long as it starts after the first of the year, I'm game.

Definitely no starting until after the first of the year! Do you think I'm crazy?

(No need to answer that here...)

I've been making some today. I have an old edition of Popular Mechanic's "Home Handyman" from about 1962, and it's got the coolest illustrations in it. I've been cutting and pasting.

One thing I did was to make a little 1" by 1" mat to use as a window. It's helpful in deciding how to crop things out.

January isn't even here yet and my swap card is full Grin   But I think an inchie swap would be so much fun!  I want to make a framed canvas with inchies.  for my art-less house....

A "Kat" frame for inchies, love it!

Just a little visual...

I got the great illustrations for some of these from a Popular Mechanic's Home Repair book from the early 60's. I'll be using some of these for the swap, but no one gets the bitch (3rd down, 3rd in). She's all mine.  Cheesy

Some of these I may go back and do a little more with. It's fun to work on several at a time and then revisit. Next plan: more turquoise backgrounds.
