I found some images yesterday and scaled them all down to a good size. I have to get started on the backgrounds.

I hope this isn't a ridiculous question, but what is everyone using for a background? Should we be making these on mat board, or some sort of thick paper..? Or are we all making them on whatever surface strikes us?

I'm using a sturdy watercolour paper for the bases

I don't think it matter what the base is made of, but sturdier is better, I would think. At least more sturdy than a basic paper.

I used a 110# cardstock but will be mounting that to a matboard before I cut them out. I want mine to be stable  Grin

I've bookmarked this swap and am super interested in it Grin

After making 19 4"x6" cards in the PostSecret Swap, whipping up a hundred inchies sounds like a breeze! I would be willing to do that many, in whatever variation of sending that the consensus decides Smiley

This first round will require only 50, but I'll either plan on a second round or give people the option of having two sets of partners if we get enough interest.

I'm thinking of starting signups tomorrow, and have them open for a week or so, then give everyone three weeks to make some inchies. I know a lot of people have gotten started already; that's great! I think everyone should jump on in and begin.

Watch for signups! I'll make sure to post a link here.

I may be interested depending on when sign up and send out is,  January is not a good month for me.  I will be going away on holidays for one week.   Won't be able to take crafty stuff with me.  And I really should be making my doll for competition.

Maybe one of the later rounds.
