okay, so i saw this reely cute purse @ U.O. for freakin' $34!!!!!!!

(click here to see why I changed this to a link rather than a hotlinked picture - leah)

and i'm like! dude! i can make that cuz i've been making some diaper bags so i basically got it down to a science so yeah. i found this plaid fabric at Walmart for $2 and the lining for $1 and i used exactly 1/3 of a yard so yeah, and with the straps, and velcro and the little magnetic closure thingy it came out to less than $5 or $6. i took it to school today and EVERYONE loved it! i kinda cried because it came out really crooked but if you just glance at it it looks kinda nice, so yeah. what do u guys think?

I agree with handxhand, I don't think it looks crooked either. Personally I love the colors you used more than the ones on the Urban Outfitters bag..great job!

I love plaid and I love your bag!  Doesn't look crooked to me.  This inspires me to make more plaid things.  Thanks for sharing  Wink

That looks great. Do you have a pattern? I'd like to make something like that.
