Lelyonna made those marvelous knitted halfgloves. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=196470.msg2077135#msg2077135 .. and I fell in love with the red ones with power up.

I can´t knit but i can crochet! So I made my very own. With a twist. I just had to put in some kind of fake-lace-up-thingies. `cause i can.

Oh, I didn´t use any pattern... I just whip them up when i went along. The halfgloves are made out of regular sc and i turned the work after every row. Then i finished it off by roundcrochinin in the ends. The lacey thingie is a very comon teknique. I´ll post a link if I find a tute. The very motiv is embroidery... Just Xstichet from a chart I googled up! Something like this:
