Hi everyone. I was just wondering if there's anyone else out there in Minnesota who frequents this nifty little thrift store. I know there is one out in Crystal (where I go) and I believe there's also one in St. Paul.

Does anyone love this place as much as I do? You always seem to find excellent bargains on crafty stuff (and clothes too)...or at least I do when I go.

I do. Unique is one of my favorite thrift stores. My very favorite one is in Minnepolis, on Lake Street near Hiawatha. I have NEVER left that store empty handed. And as an added bonus, the ReUse Center is right behind it. I have to go to both places when I'm there.  Smiley

wait whaa? There is a Savers near Lake and Hiawatha, is there a Unique too? The Unique in New Hope is by far the best one-- it is huuuge. I used to go to the one over by the old Apache 5 movie theatres, too-- that is st. Paul.  I like that they have a "Vintage" section-- it is funny what shows up there, sometimes.  My favorite retro finds are from Unique.

Ditto on the vintage section.
I actually went there over the weekend and found - get this - a pair of metal earrings that are the Starship Enterprise from Star Trek! Cheesy I'm not a huge Trekkie or anything, but I mean, come ON. $1.45 for Star Trek earrings? So worth it.
I also found a 3/4 lb. bag of polyfill for a buck, and a pair of navy blue socks for my cosplay costume for the same. They tend to have a lot of yarn, but I wasn't really in the market this time.
Although, I do have to say that I found my best finds of the weekend at the Savers in Bloomington - a Blue Man Group t-shirt AND a "The Vagina Monologues" t-shirt for under five bucks combined. Needless to say, I was so stoked.

Yeah, it's on Lake, a block or two west of Hiawatha and it totally rocks.

Right, that is a savers, not a unique. Okay, sorry, I was confused.

I'm from Iowa, not MN, but make my way up there every couple of months. Unique is on my list of places to go! I went to Axman in St. Louis Park twice now, and love it like mad. YAY for Minnesota thrift stores!

I frequent the one in Burnsville, and it's one of my fav thrift stores in a lifetime of thrifting in various states! Great for coming up from Iowa as it's south of the cities Smiley

I love Ax-man. The one in Saint Paul on University is right by my university, and it's so much fun to go in there and wander.

Is that one just north of 42nd on Winnetka a Unique? Half-zimers, half the time I don't know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I luv it.

Seriously addicted to all things Ax-Man, as well. The SLP store rules! Who knew I needed so much scientific equipment? I may be teetering on the very edge of eccentricity.

It's a Unique. If you're at the Unique in New Hope there is a tiny thrift store down the road about a half mile toward 55. It's Arcs Value Village and it's small but totally worth it, I've found a TON of amazing stuff there. (They just got a bunch of vintage tee's in. YES.)

Ax-man is my fave. Shockingly, I've never heard of Unique though. Maybe I just don't live near enough to one? Are there any by the White Bear area?

My all-time favourite thrift store is the Everyday People in Dinkytown.
