HELP recreating a deep v, empire, sleeveless dress for NYE. (pictures included)

There is a strap holding the V at the bustline and there are pleats a few inches down from the bust.  I think you would do better to alter the black dress on the vogue pattern below since the pleats, although not as pronounced, are already there.

Let me get it straight...you want this dress but you want it STRAPLESS.....

Uhhhh, deep V necklines and strapless are pretty much mutually exclusive, I think, UNLESS you have some "invisible" straps between the two breasts, or "invisible" straps going over the shoulders.  Competitive ice skaters use a lot of flesh colored lycra to get the same effect as Deep V neckline + strapless.

Weird, I saw strapless too but now it changed to sleeveless so she might have edited it. Anyway, I think the first pattern posted is the best match. The dress in the pic has a clear waistband which would help give it lift. I think if you used that pattern and separated the cups a little more it will look almost exactly like the photo.
