all gifts are bought.
almost all gifts are wrapped.
but not all gifts have been made yet!

i am trying to crochet this poncho: http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=89&d_id=6&lang=us
for my niece. the thing is that i can't understand what they mean with:

"2nd row: The start of the row will be one side (shoulder). Ch 3 (= 1 dc), 1 dc in each of the next 2 sc, ch 1, skip over 2 sc, * 1 dc in each of the next 3 sc, ch 1, skip over 2 sc *, repeat * - * a total of 3-3-4 times (= 4-4-5 dc-groups), (...)"

could someone explain me what they mean with the text in bold?

thank you so much in advance!

That usually means sizes.  If you're making small or medium, it will be 3 repeats for a total of 4 dc groups, and if you're making a large size, you do 4 repeats for a total of 5 dc groups.

From the link, it looks like these represent these sizes for small, medium or large:

Sizes: 5/7 years - 8/10 years - 12/14 years

Length at center front: approx. 44 - 52 - 62 cm
[17.25" - 20.5" - 24-3/8"]
