Being that Laura Ingalls Wilder has been a lifelong hero of mine, and I have always been obsessed with anything victorian/historical like that...

I have an entire cookbook of Laura Ingalls Wilder recipes [http://www.amazon.com/Little-House-Cookbook-Frontier-Ingalls/dp/0064460908]

I can't copy them here, but I do have something you should love just as much

It is Laura's actual gingerbread recipe- and it is sooo good! I highly recommend using this chocolate frosting on top:

CREAMY BROWNIE FROSTING

    6  tablespoons butter -- softened
    1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp Hershey's Cocoa
    2 tablespoons   light corn syrup
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    2 cups powdered sugar
    2 to 3 Tbsp milk

In medium bowl, beat butter, cocoa, corn syrup and vanilla until blended.
Gradually add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency.

Makes about 1 3/4 cup frosting
