Happy Bunny and Octopus Bag

My friend writes a lot and likes to carry her composition notebook with her everywhere, so for Christmas I decided to sew her a bag perfectly sized for a composition notebook. Here was the outcome:

I stitched in lyrics from a song we always sing by her favorite band, the Weakerthans.
It's my first project of this sort, but I'm pretty happy with it.
She loved it
Broke college student + many wonderful friends = many handmade gifts

Very cute.  How did you come to select an octopus and a bunny?  I'd never think to put the two of them together, but it works...
