Kristine (bkrenning4) Thank you so much for the hand made book  It's absolutely lovely...by far my most favorite present.

I am so glad you liked it!  I enjoyed making it.  I can't draw a straight line, but I love to color.  Most of the pics were done with watercolor pencils, which are a new medium to me.  I was worried about the pages themselves, they were so brittle, but I thought it added that "special" touch to the book.

I got so much stuff from Ptarmic Wumpus! First, the wrapped shot:



I was good and didn't open until Dec. 23, when I was headed out of town and couldn't wait anymore. I had asked for hand-dyed yarn, and my favorite colors are blues and greens.  Ptarmic Wumpus made sure I don't have an excuse to buy yarn for ages, with green cotton yarn (worsted weight, and has a little blue mixed in):



Also blue and green wool yarn, possibly sport weight:



And finally, blue and green rayon boucle:



It's hard to photograph because it's so shiny, but the color is much more vibrant in person.

And everything was packed in a project bag/basket made of a felted sweater! You can see the lovely card of a snowy scene in Paris, which reminds me of Central Park.   



It's so clever and the deep red is a great contrast with all the blues and greens. I'm going to have to watch out so the cat doesn't steal it and make it her bed. Here you can see some of the texture of the sweater:

Ahhhh! I received from the FABULOUS bkrenning4 and I'm absolutely in heaven. My camera isn't working right now, but I head home on Friday and will use my OTHER camera to take pictures. Prepare for jealousy. She made me an absolutely gorgeous necklace and sent me a pink pashmina! I was so touched my eyes misted up.

Sin esperanza, I'm so glad you like the patches  It was only my second embroidery project ever, so it took me a long time (I had all these grand visions of complicated projects...oy, embroidery takes forever!)

I am so glad you liked it!  I did not make the shawl, but it was a special one for Breast Cancer Awareness.  The funds went to Breast Cancer funding.  I hope the color works for you.

I am glad you like the necklace.  It is so hard to make jewelry for someone!  You never know there likes or disklikes!  I stalked your posts and an your wists to try to figure it out.

Okay, I think I finally understand how to use my new camera.  I received a second gift, which is something I always wanted.  A book on Polymer Clay.  As if that wasn't enough, I also got a hemp bracelet kit.



I love working with clay, but am deparate for help!  Gwenyvarr sent me a great book for some inspiration.  So, look out, ladies!  There will be some clay creations coming soon!
