Penguin and Zombie Couple (with mini-tute)

Hey!  I can post these now, Lunascura got her package!  These items are made of felt.  Yay felt!  The penguin is made with the wee wonderfuls wee pattern.  Decorations are glued on.  Feet were added!  The stitch was done with my new sewing machine - that has to be my favorite stitch!  (Pay no attention to the soldiers in the background!  )



Next up is my zombie couple.  These are really easy and fun to do.  I love the zombie boy's dangling eyeball.  Zombie girl looks sad (maybe it's cuz of zombie boy's wandering eye!)





The boy and girl are just a simple gingerbread pattern. 
Cut the gingerbread pattern out of freezer paper. 
Sandwich red felt in between some green felt.
Iron the freezer paper pattern piece to your top felt square (low heat).
Pin for stability.  Sew all the way around the piece.
Remove freezer paper.  Clip the green felt pieces close to the seam, leaving the red intact.
Use pinking shears to cut around the red felt.
Use scissors or a knife to make "wounds".  I glued on the eyes and teeth.  Decorate as you wish.

Zombie gingerbread men, now i have seen it all! Haha that is just great. Next year you should do a horror themed tree.

Thanks!  As for a horror themed tree...maybe.  I don't know if I can convince the dh, though!

that penguin is so cute but I'm worried about her, I can't not pay attention to the soldiers in the background! Your zombie gingerbread couple are just wonderful, what a brilliant idea!

Poor little penguin, just sittin' there thinking of global domination and then a bunch of GI Joe's come and spoil all her plans.

The gingerbread zombies are great!  I may be forced to nab your idea one day.

Cute! Did you use the tute I posted (for the penguin) in the question section? I finished one yesterday and i'm going to post pics as soon as the computer starts to work right. You did a very nice job!

That's a good tute!  But, I just used the wee wonderfuls wee pattern, shrunk to about 70%.  I saw something like it in the blogoverse.  But if I had seen your tute, I probably would have used that!

Those zombies would look pretty sweet on our rosemary bush tree next year whenit gains a little more height (thus entitling me to adorn it with more than  10 ornaments). NICe.
