Ok So I'm making a really awesome necklace which requires purple chain. I'm not even sure if you can buy purple chain anywhere, so I think I'll have to somehow color the chain myself using some kind of air-brushing technique. Will spraypainting work? I want it to turn out shiny.  Smiley

you want anonodized jump rings, which you can make into a chain quite easily. they're generally available in aluminum or niobium, with niobium being stronger but aluminum being cheaper. You also want to put masking tape on your pliers when working with them, so as to not nick the coating.

I never thought to use masking tape on the pliers. Thanks!
