Just finished stencilling the black and i'm not the worlds greatest stencil cutter/matcher upper but I was wondering if I should go and fill in all the bits or leave it with the grey coming through.

I sort of like the grey but I just need some opinions.
Pictures:

Haven't finished the whole thing yet.

I like the gray coming thru, if you try to make it perfect you will never be happy with it unless it is.  I like the style of it now!

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.

I think the grey coming through enhances your (even more) stylised interpretation of the design.  I vote for leaving it as is.

leave it! I wouldn't have noticed it shouldn't have been like that if you hadn't of mentioned it, and I've read the book and own the soundtrack, so I've seen that picture dozens of times.

At one time, I used to break into pet shops to liberate the canaries. But I decided that was an idea way before its time. Zoos are full, prisons are overflowing... oh my, how the world still dearly loves a cage. - Maude

I was just rereading Wicked as I was looking at this. I was thinking about doing something but quilting the silhouettes onto a green tee and absolutely love the way yours came out. There's no point in risking such great results. Will you be adding red lips? I don't think I will be able resist if I actually follow through.
