Seriously, that hook roll took almost no time.

I couldn't find my measuring tape, so I did it all by...
well...
guessing, and eying it. I also didn't have a pattern.

It's also the most complicated thing I've made in a while.

Although I was wrong when I said it was the only thing I've sewn since middle school. I made a kimono with 60 inch radius sleeves in 2004, but I had a pattern for that.

Sorry, I know I am really late with the pics, the software to my cam totally did not work. However I am happy it works and happy to share my gifts!

My fave is the plush/pillow like Totoro! I like to cuddle with him at nap time!

YAY!  My partner received her package on Saturday, so I can post pictures. Wink

She really wanted a tri-fold wallet, so I made this out of wool felt.  It has little pockets on the inside for ID, and a big pocket for bills and receipts.  This was my first try at making a wallet, so I'm really glad that she likes it. Smiley

This is the thing that my husband wants now - a Totoro pillow!  It's done in red cotton twill with a felt Totoro and soot sprite appliqus.  I had picked up a Japanese 'felt mascot' book just before the holiday, so I was going through a blanket stitch phase. Wink

Calcifer mascot!  This photo is about life-size, maybe even a wee bit larger. Smiley

I also sent her a t-shirt with soot sprites painted on, and some red/orange flannel PJ pants with a soot sprite applique - but I didn't have a chance to photograph them before I sent them out.  Hopefully she'll be able to! Smiley

Received from mai apple pie!  Awright.

"I say, Fitzwilliam, old chap, what have you there?"

"It appears to be a gorgeous watercolor rendering of Chihiro and Haku from Spirited Away, Charles."
"Why, I do believe you're correct!"

"Rather nice hat, don'tcha know."
"Yes, indeed, but... I say, what the devil's wrong with her eye?"

"Are those...stitch markers?"
"Of course, Charles, old boy.  What else could they be?"
"Thong charms?"
"...why, I believe I have some business to take care of.  Yes.  Business.  I simply must be leaving now."
"Do you suppose you'll be done in time f--"
"No."

Charles and Fitz agree that it's pretty awesome.  Thanks, mai!
