i got this bag for like $3.50. i want to decorate it. i would welcome all sugestions. it's like 14 by 11 and the side width is 5 inches.

Wow, that's really a blank canvas - you could do almost anything.  Embroidery, apliques, patches,...
I think it would be cool to do a black line drawing embroidered on the flap.  (or you could just draw on it with a Sharpie (they have special ones for clothes that don't wash away)).

I had a boring messanger bag which I fixed accidentaly when i was putting a printed t-shirt transfer on one of my shirts but i messed it up and lucky enough it was a shirt i didnt really care about so i cut out the pictures on the sweater and i pinned it on with safety pins and realized i liked it a lot so i just sewed them on
