I know those ice storms were very very destructive, but they sure leave beautiful things behind.

I hope everything is alright where you are.

I'm in Wichita as well, we had a couple of icy days, but nothing near that! I took this one of the tree outside my window once the little bit of snow we got started to melt...

I read your manifestos and strange religious tracts.  You took me to your library and kissed me in the stacks.

Wow, nature really is awe-inspiring. The pics and posts really put a human touch to something we only hear the news anchors squawk about at 6:00pm.

I feel guilty knowing I've been doing the snow dance for a month now, waiting for the ski resorts to open up at Tahoe so I can dislocate/sprain/fracture/break something (choose one or all, depending on how long the ski season is, and/or how stupid I get on moguls and jumps  Grin). We FINALLY got a semi-decent storm to dump on the Sierras last weekend.

All my thoughts and good wishes to those of you stuck in that mess w/no power. And if you have it, that bird seed will go a long way to help, too!

You guys got hit a LOT harder than we did in IA.  I'm glad you got a few days off work and some beautiful pictures out of it.  It's been a dangerous past few days if you've been having to go to work in this crap.  I had a day off yesterday but today I saw no less than 13 cars on the side of the road in my 20 minute trip to work.  One of them had *successfully* pulled off.  The rest of them were in the ditch or median.

Hope you guys thaw out soon!
