Well, I've been wanting to try to make a tote...and I found some old cloth left over from my sister's curtains, and I said to myself "Self, practice on this." And so I did, and I'm rather happy with what I got.

Tell you what I think?  I think you have done a fantastic job for your first tote and the fabric is gorgeous as well.  I'm very impressed with both your work and the size of the bag - I like big bags.

I hope you make more and put them up here to show because your work is worth seeing.

Well done for your first attempt.  Don't stop now - you're on a roll  Grin.

I agree- great work!  And I love your fabric choice.

I haven't been game trying slippery lining yet- is it really like 'sewing snot'?

I like it. Very pretty. I can't believe it's your first tote! (Let's not get into how bad my first one looked, lol...)

Thanks ^_^ It's so addictive...must make more, lol.

kaachan: I didn't think working the 'slippery' lining was hard at all. I just pinned the 'corners' (I only used four pins...) and held the fabric together as I sewed it. It was pretty fun, actually...except for the fraying. That stuff frays pretty bad >.<
