I decided that I wanted my daughter to have a Christmas nightgown this year.  My mom always made them for us when I was young so I finally got around to making one for Emmie this year.  I still need to add a little ribbon bow to the top neckline but I'm so proud of how it turned out.   Size wise it's a little big but I think I will just take the elastic in a little more at the neckline.

Super cute! It reminds me of the nightgowns my mom made me when I was little. Smiley

I'm not sure which is cuter, the nightgown or the little girl. They're both cute as buttons!  I love that material.

I searched for a good one, too and finally found this one.  It's Butterick 4910 and so incredibly easy.  The other options in the pattern are really cute too.  I thought it ran a bit large.  Emma is 4 1/2 and in a 4T but she's pretty short.  I made the size four.  It's big but totally wearable.

Trust me, you're not theiving at all.  It's all about sharing ideas.  I just finished cutting the pieces for the other gown option but I'm making it as a dress instead.   Have fun!  And be sure to post pics!

Too cute!  Both the nightgown and your daughter.

Checked out the pattern, the other options are just as adorable as well.  I think the one with the little girl wearing the shorts and top would be perfect for summer jammies.  Thank you for sharing!  I wisted the pattern so I think I might have to also "share this idea".
