So I did a LOT of knitting around Thanksgiving, and am just now getting around to posting pictures  of the stuff I made. The first thing I knitted (in the car on the way up!) was another Jayne hat; this is actually he fourth one I've knitted, but the first one I've put on craftster. It's kind of sad how I've memorized the pattern Grin

I also started knitting my Harry Potter Dark Mark Illusion Scarf before the break, but didn't get around to finishing it until later- it took FOREVER because it's so long. Even when I wrap it around my neck, both ends reach past my knees! Maybe that's normal? I don't really know, as I live in Texas...

Here it is as modeled by my oh-so-lovely floor, the pen is for scale.

And here's the illusion part. I am now known at school as "that girl with the skull scarf"  Wink

I am seriously in awe.

Wow, I absolutely love the illusion scarf. Did you use a pattern or do it all yourself? If there was a pattern, could there be a chance of sharing? Again, great job!

I used a pattern I found when I was looking at a swap partner's wists. The pattern includes the four charts that make up the illusion dark mark-y part and you need Adobe Acrobat to see them.

Happy knitting!

I am seriously going to make myself learn how to knit...just to make that scarf!!!

I know how it is, at my work, i'm known as the harry potter chick cuz i wear my gryffindor/slytherin scarves all the time, and i'm using my seeker track jacket as a coat...

they just don't get it! lol!

at the moment, trying to do right by those who i've wronged...

Wow! Tutorial for the scarf? I'd totally make that.

....I need to get around to making a Jayne hat, but I never have the right yarn!

@ Plumbum
As far as the difficulty of the knitting, it's really not that bad. You just need to know how to knit, purl, read a pattern, and be really patient (because it takes forever!).

The scarf is awesome, the Jayne hat is well, pretty cunning!!!
