Ugh. I hate that funk that comes after he leaves. I usually just get tons of junk food and movies, like trix said. Not the most healthy (hell, not even a little healthy!) way to deal with it, but sometimes that does make it feel better. I let myself have a crap day or week (that depends on if he's gone for 6 weeks or 6 months) and then I make myself get up and get over it. I write him letters, craft, have my email inbox always up on the laptop (lol), and try to hangout with a girlfriend/wife in the same command. I was so lucky to meet a girlfriend of a guy in my husband's shop and we'd knit and watch Friends/Grey's Anatomy everynight that they were gone. It made the days fly by Smiley

Oh keeping busy will make the days fly by!
I was totally sad when my husband was deployed. I allowed myself one week to be sad and mope around-- then I immediately started looking for a job!
We also have 3 animals and they keep me very busy. D: (Good and bad!) I also wrote him letters, made things for him, etc. I knew he wouldn't want me sitting aorund being sad, so I tried to keep busy Smiley
