Hi All,

My boyfriend and I are moving to Ladysmith from Cincinnati, OH for his job. I haven't been and he's only been there once for his interview. Are there any crafters out in that area? What's it like? If anyone could give me some information I would be so thankful.

Amy

Curse softly to me, baby, and smother me in your love. Temptation comes not from hell but from above.

Hi there-

My grandpa used to live in the area so I know about Ladysmith...

It's VERY small town-ish. There's a Pamaida and a gas station, a car shop and a couple of other places. There really isn't a whole lot to do. My husband and I asked the locals what they did for fun and they said "go shopping"...we asked "where?" and the said "out in Minnesota at the Mall of America or down in Eau Claire"...both about 2 or more hours away.

It's very much a farm area, mostly country.

The biggest "city" is Hayward, which is also pretty small. We really enjoy visiting the area but as far as living there and finding other crafty people, I don't know how much luck you will have Sad.

Good luck with everything, I hope you are able to meet some cool people. The population is pretty low around there and as of about a year ago, cell phone service wasn't really a big thing. Not sure if that's changed or anything, though.
