So, this seems like a dumb question, but exactly what size images can we upload? I am going to to try a trial and error method for now (reduce it to 75%...still too big?...resize to 50%....nope....etc.) but it would be nice to know for reference what the actual numbers (pixels? is that even what they are called?) are...

I am a doofus.

No, not a Doofus, just learning.

If you're uploading the picture to Craftster's picture hosting there's a 2 MB size limit for each individual picture.  How big a picture that is depends on the resolution of the picture (how tightly are the pixels pack together).  I can't give you a formula for reduction; with me it's pretty much resize, check the size and adjust more if it's still more than 2 MB.

I can't say what are the size limitations at other picture hosting sites because I have no idea.

Hope this was helpful.

I use the same route as Fidget.  I resize it by 100% since most of my pics are taken with my cameraphone there's no real difference between my pictures.  Plus it's waaaay easier on computers (and less irritating in general) to have smaller pics.
