Good job. I've also been trying to come up with a companion cube craft.

So, this is clearly AMAZING. I've never played portal as I am crappy at anything beyond tetris as far as video games go, but my boyfriend is SO OBSESSED with this game. Thanks for posting the pattern that you used, I'ma turn it into a grid and make a crochet version for the boy so he can cuddle with his companion cube. Perhaps give it to him with a piece of moist, delicious cake for good measure Smiley

Ha! I knew this looked familiar...my DH is always playing Portal. I got to hear the silly song about cake. He says I should play it next.

Thanks so much for sharing. This is such a neat design and inspires me to get into perler also.

Thanks also to the person who posted the supply links. I try to avoid Ebay as a rule.

I really need to go spend the $12 on a tub of those things. They're so versatile.
And have any of you ever gotten the cube to talk? cause it does, if you abuse it enough Smiley
(ok, so i haven't gotten it to, but the guy who introduced me to portal can. I'm not that patient)

Wow, this is freakin' kick-ass.  I love the colors you used!  Do the ones you used around the heart glow in the dark?  They look like glow in the dark beads.  I wish I was as good as you are at creating pixelated pics to make these with.  You rock  Wink.

Hey there - I found your template online and modified it to create an actual Weighted Companion Cube by making a popsicle-stick box.  I need to take pictures of it (once I have a functional camera) but I figured you'd get a kick out of it!  They make great presents for fellow Portal junkies!  : )
